Hello people! So I’m back for the time being. I have no idea how this year will go and I’m pretty busy so who knows when I’m not able to post a review. I know I can make time for it, but it’s not my highest priority and I don’t really feel like writing a review whenever I do have the time. But here I am now. I’m prob gonna make an announcement so I don’t need to post the “no review” thing again for the time being. Also, I’m taking a little break of writing a German letter right now, but need to get going again once I’m done…. I cry. I literally had an exam today of Chemistry I had to retake cuz I did so bad on it. gimme a break, but nope, cuz I still need to summarize literature stuff. But ye, that’s me venting for a bit, don’t mind me
Anyways, this manga. It’s finished 1 yrs ago and why not review it. I think I mostly review shoujo manga, but yeah, I read most of that stuff and I do not like to review popular stuff, as I do not like to be involved into any heated discussions of that. But ye.
The mangaka basically makes shoujo manga. I don’t have any other information. Haha rip. (MAL has dedded on me somehow or another). Link of Baka-updates at the end of the review. So let’s go on.
Koizumi Nene is bored by the mundane quality of her life, every day being the same, until she has a chance encounter with college student Sakuraba Hajime. And now he’s her neighbor too! Were they fated to meet one another?
So it’s basically a typical shoujo manga. Older (/mature) guy and high school girl who wants to be mature and is a bit lost in life. Falls in love in no time, get some jealousy fights and have a happy end. Nothing special about it.
The story, as I said, it’s about what I said before. Only thing I could say about it is that it’s not wonk with lots of plotholes, though it’s cliche as hell like almost every shoujo manga there is so rip.
Characters, I do like their designs but their personalities are meh. Boring, not that much going on or you can feel like rolling your eyes for some actions or thoughts. Couldn’t sympathise at all with the protagonist. And about character development, well, it’s typical and not new.
I do like the art, like their designs, but that’s really it. It’s still your shoujo manga style.
In the end, it’s just your typical shoujo manga which doesn’t have many surprises but if you like shoujo manga, it’s definitely a recommender. Just that it’s not original at all. It’s a no-brainer, but yeah. I’ll give it a 5,5/10. It’s not bad, but ti’s not amazing. it’s a bit boring, but quality-wise it’s very doable.
That’s all for this week. I need to continue on with homework. My apologies for the short review, but I can’t help it and I don’t have much else to say about this manga anyways, so it’s alright for me. Until the next time bye!.
