Hello people! So as some of you may know if you’ve read some reviews of mine, I am a big fan of the K-series. I like it very much and that’s why I finally read a spin-off manga of it. There are other ones too, but I don’t think they’re fully translated. Well, let’s just go to the review.
In Shizume city there’s a legend about a red king with demon-like abilities that single-handendly created the Homra organization, as long as you get accepted into Homra, you can gain extraordinary powers.
Okay, so I used the short synopsis of Aqua scans, but okay. It’s because I don’t want to spoil too much which I will try to do as much as possible. So the story, it’s actually after what the death of Totsuki, but all the stories are happening before he died and how some of the main crew came to at Homra. I mean they’re done with flashbacks which is pretty well thought of so they can think of many ‘short stories’ which lead to one big story at the same time. The concept is thus well thought of. There’re a few things that aren’t answered, but it’s no big deal since the plot is actually very watertight. The only question I can think of now is ‘Had Totsuki foreseen his own death?’ but that’s something I can’t answer. I really thought the story was at a nice pace and full of development, but not that it’s too full of things. Totsuki was one of my favourite characters in the series, so seeing a bit more about him and his death has made him really the second favourite character in the series. You could feel the emotion, whether it was happy or sad, you felt it through the story, which not often happens with Manga is how I see it. I thought everything was pretty satisfying, but also bittersweet. Even if the person is not there, he made enough memories to be remembered by other people. It was really something to be said, since he was sort of really the limiter of Homra. It’s only sad when a favourite character has died, but also, on the other hand, satisfying knowing his story is finished. I’ll give it a 9/10. The plot was original and well made, the concept is fitting it, the art is nice and the story is full of emotion and not full of holes. I can’t think of criticism about it and that doesn’t matter. If Totsuki were to be alive, I wonder how the world there would’ve looked like…
Well, that was it for this week! So, school starts next week, I hope I can keep making reviews as large as this
See you laters!
