So this is another Umineko no Naku Koro ni. I was watching a playthrough of the visual novel a while ago. The english translation ver is super cool. Though I haven’t even passed half of Ep 1, due it being big and detailed. Now I will go immediately to the synopsis.
After the first Ep has ended, Battler has to prove once again that the murders on Rokkenjima aren’t because of the Witch. To prove that, he is, while the murders happen in a Meta-world against a bet from Beatrice. This time, the story will revolve around the relation between shy Shannon and George, restricted Jessica and tsundere stoic Kanon. The development of the two tragic relationships are expended and explained. Meanwhile, Battler is fighting for his life to prove the murders aren’t from his family nor the Witch Beatrice. What will happen this time?
Plot is so confusing when you read too fast. that happened with me… Still, I thought the plot was pretty good. It was complicated, thought through, and made it very exciting. Concept is original with what’s happening, though it reminds me a bit of the situation in the song ‘Kagerou Days’ The art filled in the mood extremely well as the music of the visual novel wasn’t there. The character development was small, but I mean, it’s 8 episodes long, so I can understand why. The development betweent the relation with Beatrice is also getting more clear by more people. Other people will get their reveal in this part too. Battler and Maria still my favourite characters. I don’t know why but Maria’s personality change really is cool for how she normally is and the result of how she was treated. Battler, because he fights it with his logic and still tried despite knowing what to come. Overall I give it a 8,5/10, because I didn’t understand everything, though that was my fault too. Oh and the ending was gore……
Anyways, that was if for this week. Sorry if the review was messy, but I was thinking about the things that suddenly came up about it, so the order may not be right.
See you next week
